Description: General correspondence relating to the film, including: i) Letter to David Lean from Esther Harris, who worked with him in a minor capacity on "49th Parallel" (1941), expressing her 'pleasurable anticipation' regarding seeing the film, 17 June 1984. ii) Letter to David Lean from Kevin Brownlow, describing his reaction to the film, viewed at a press screening, 18 March 1985. iii) Letter to David Lean from Bernard Vorhaus, film director responsible for directing, amongst others, "Money for Speed" (1933) and "The Ghost Camera" (1933) both of which were edited by Lean, offering his congratulations on the film, 2 May 1985.
